¶ Replace Thermal Conductive Silicone Grease
Long-term printing with high-temperature filaments can reduce the effectiveness and heating performance of the thermal conductive silicone grease. Follow the steps below to reapply the grease.
Warning:
Ensure the printer is powered off and the hot end is fully cooled before performing maintenance.
¶ Step 1
Remove the silicone sock.
¶ Step 2
Remove the ceramic heater retaining clip.
¶ Step 3
Apply a thin, even layer of thermal conductive silicone grease.
¶ Step 4
Reinstall the ceramic heater retaining clip.
¶ Step 5
Reinstall the silicone sock.
