¶ TPU Printing Guide for QIDI Q2
When printing with TPU filament on the Q2, follow the recommendations below to ensure stable operation.
¶ Filament Cutting Issue
During filament unloading, the cutter may occasionally fail to fully cut TPU filament.
We recommend manually pressing the cutter to ensure the filament is completely cut before removing it.
¶ Disable Auto-Cutting Before Leveling
To prevent cutting errors from interrupting the leveling process:
- Open the Fluidd interface.
- Locate and open the
gcode_macro.cfgfile in the configuration section. - Comment out the filament cutting command executed before bed leveling.
- Click Save & Restart to apply the changes.
¶ Recommended TPU Hardness
- Official recommendation: 95A hardness or higher for stable printing.
- When using the QIDI BOX, a minimum hardness of 64D is required.
- Very soft TPU is not supported. Do not attempt to print with overly soft filaments.
