¶ Filament Loading Guide — X-Plus 4
This guide explains two methods for loading filament on the X-Plus 4:
- Automatic loading
- Manual loading
The following steps use official PLA filament as an example.
¶ Automatic Loading
¶ Step 1 — Insert the filament
Insert the filament into the feeding port outside the printer.
Push it forward until it enters the toolhead and cannot be pushed further.
¶ Step 2 — Start automatic loading
Tap Load on the touchscreen.
¶ Step 3 — Set the temperature
Select the filament printing temperature.
For PLA, use 220 °C as an example.
Tap Next to continue.
¶ Step 4 — Confirm extrusion
Observe the nozzle and confirm that filament extrudes smoothly.
Continuous extrusion indicates successful loading.
¶ Manual Loading
¶ Step 1 — Insert the filament
Insert the filament into the feeding port outside the printer.
Push it forward until it enters the toolhead and cannot be pushed further.
¶ Step 2 — Open temperature control
Tap the temperature area shown in the image to adjust the nozzle temperature.
¶ Step 3 — Set the nozzle temperature
Set the nozzle temperature for the filament.
For PLA, use 220 °C as an example.
¶ Step 4 — Extrude filament manually
When the nozzle reaches the set temperature, tap the right arrow to extrude filament.
Observe the nozzle during extrusion.
¶ Step 5 — Confirm loading
Confirm that filament extrudes smoothly from the nozzle.
This indicates that filament loading is complete.
