¶ Replace Hotend — X-Plus 4
Follow the steps below to replace the hotend assembly.
¶ Step 1 — Cut the filament
Use a filament cutter to cut the filament above the extruder.
¶ Step 2 — Remove mounting screws and cable
- Unscrew the two mounting screws securing the hotend.
- Disconnect the hotend cable.
¶ Step 3 — Remove the hotend
Carefully remove the hotend from the toolhead assembly.
¶ Step 4 — Install the new hotend
- Insert the new hotend into position.
- Reconnect the hotend cable.
- Secure the hotend using the two mounting screws.
Important: Ensure the hotend cable clip faces downward, as shown in the image below.
