¶ Wi-Fi and network connection guide
This guide explains how to connect the X-Plus 4 to a Wi-Fi or Ethernet network, add the printer to QIDI Studio, and resolve common connection issues.
Connecting the printer to a network allows you to:
- Send print files wirelessly
- Monitor printer status
- Use QIDI Studio and QIDI Link features
Note: The printer supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only.
- Open Settings on the touchscreen.
- Tap Network.
- Select Wi-Fi.

- Select your Wi-Fi network.
- Enter the password.
- Tap Enter.

After a few seconds, the printer displays a confirmation message.

- Connect the printer and computer to the same network.
- On the printer, open Settings → General settings → Network.
- Note the printer’s IP address.

- Open QIDI Studio.
- Select the Device tab.
- Tap + to add a printer.
- Choose the correct printer preset.
- Enter the IP address or search for the device.

Important: If a Fluidd account is configured, you must enter the API key to send print files.


Online device control is available through the QIDI Link mobile app.
- Install the QIDI Link app from your app store.
- Register and sign in.
- On the printer, open
Settings → General settings → Network → QIDI Link.
- Scan the displayed QR code.
Note: The printer must be connected to a network first.

- Sign in to the same account in QIDI Studio.
- The device appears in the Link device list.

Fluidd is a web-based interface for controlling and monitoring the printer.
It allows you to:
- Move the print head
- Monitor temperatures and progress
- Start or stop prints
- Adjust print parameters

To use a wired connection:
- Open Settings → Network.
- Switch to Ethernet mode.
Devices connected by Ethernet automatically display an IP address.

LAN-only mode disconnects the printer from cloud services.
- Open Settings → Network.
- Enable LAN-only mode.
Important: In LAN-only mode, the printer cannot connect to QIDI cloud services.

Cause: Unsupported network band
Solution: Use a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
Solution:
- Confirm both devices are on the same network.
- Verify the printer’s IP address.
- Restart the printer and QIDI Studio.
