The Textured PEI Plate is created by powder-coating a layer of PEI powder onto a stainless steel plate.
The standout feature of the Textured PEI Plate is its uniquely rough surface texture, which transfers the same texture to the bottom layer of printed models. This plate is compatible with a wide range of materials and, in most cases, provides excellent adhesion without requiring adhesives, making it highly user-friendly. The PEI coating on the Textured PEI Build Plate is exceptionally durable, ensuring a long service life.
The Smooth PEI Plate is produced by bonding a carefully selected PEI sheet to a spring steel plate using high-temperature-resistant 3M adhesive. It delivers a flat bottom surface for prints, ideal for applications requiring smooth finishes.
The Smooth PEI Plate supports printing with various materials on its PEI film surface.
Note: Adhesives are unnecessary only when printing PLA. For other materials, adhesives must be used to prevent tearing the PEI film.
The thickened 0.5mm spring steel plate minimizes the risk of warping.
The Cool Plate, also known as the Low-Temperature Stable Plate, is specifically designed for PLA/PETG to enhance the printing experience.
The Cool Plate features an ultra-adhesive coating tailored for PLA and PETG, ensuring strong adhesion to improve print success rates. No adhesives are needed, and the printed model’s bottom layer remains smooth and stable.
The Cool Plate works effectively on irregularly shaped surfaces, providing robust adhesion even with minimal contact area. It prevents prints from detaching and falling off during removal.
Gently lift the print using the scraper included with the printer, then carefully pry it off. If the print is stuck too firmly, allow the plate to cool completely before removal. The surface is soft. Exercise caution when using the scraper to avoid damage.
For heavy dirt buildup, clean the surface with water and detergent. Do not use organic solvents (especially acetone), as they can damage the adhesive layer. Note: QIDI PLA Silk material adheres extremely strongly to the Cool Plate, which may damage models. We do not recommend using Silk materials on the Cool Plate. For third-party PLA Silk materials, select the "Generic PLA Silk" preset in QIDI Studio and assess compatibility based on specific conditions.
If your build plate fails to adhere properly, leading to print failures, refer to the QIDI Build Plate Cleaning Guide for instructions. Alternatively, contact our Support Team for assistance.
