¶ What Is the QIDI Extruder Cooler
The QIDI Extruder Cooler is an advanced external cooling solution for FDM 3D printers designed to actively cool the extruder’s cold side and filament feed path. It prevents heat creep-related issues and improves reliability when printing with temperature-sensitive and engineering materials.

By directing a stream of dry, clean, controlled cold air to the extruder area, it:

Heat creep occurs when heat travels up from the hotend into the cooler parts of the filament path, causing premature softening and jams. Active cooling helps maintain a stable temperature gradient to avoid this failure mode.
